Who can take part
- Anyone can open a case and get a reply.
- To enter a case into the Casebook and the monthly pick, you must be 18 or older.
- Taking part is free. You never need to buy anything to open a case, enter, vote, or win.
What you agree to when you enter a case
- The problem is your own idea, or one you're free to share, and it doesn't include anyone's private information.
- You give the author permission to publish your case on this site and to use it, changed or adapted, in books, comics, videos and posts about the series, without payment or royalties.
- If you ticked the credit box, you'll be credited by the name you gave. If you didn't, your case appears without a name.
How cases are chosen
- Every entered case is reviewed before it appears in the Casebook. We don't publish cases that are hurtful, private, sexual, or about real emergencies.
- Each month the author picks a winning case, with readers' votes as the main guide. The winning case is written into an upcoming book, and the winner is credited in that book if they agreed to credit.
- If your case is picked for a book, we email you that book as a free e-book and ask whether you'd like to appear in it as a character. Saying no to the character never affects the gift. There are no printed copies or cash prizes.
- We use your email only to contact you about your case.
Real problems
If you're dealing with something serious, such as a risk to your safety or someone else's, please contact local emergency services or someone you trust. This office is fiction and can't help with real emergencies.
Removing your case
Write to books@abdelfattah-ragab.com with your case number and we'll remove it from the site.
